  1.    There still seems to be some confusion about how one upgrades to the 1.2.1 release of TCP/IP. I hope this helps a bit. This procedure is for IBM U.S.      
  2. I don't know how this is done in other marketing areas.

  4. NEW MAINTENANCE RELEASE OF OS/2 TCP/IP IS AVAILABLE -V1.2.1
  5.  
  6. This release supports OS/2 2.0 as well as OS/2 1.3 SE and OS/2 1.3 EE.
  7. The release also includes improved installation and configuration
  8. support as well as fixes for known problems. This new release has
  9. also been tested with the current releases of ES and LS.
  10.  
  11. The new TCP/IP 1.2.1 - REFRESH, is available as of 5/29/92.
  12. TCP/IP V1.2 is being withdrawn with the availability of this release.
  13. This new package will have TCP/IP 1.2.1 and REFRESH in red lettering on
  14. the outside cover for each kit for easy identification. All OS/2 TCP/IP
  15. kits have been updated to this new level.

  17.        TCP/IP 1.2.1 PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

  19. TCP/IP 1.2 customers of record may have their products replaced,
  20. FREE OF CHARGE, by using the following procedure:
  21.  
  22.   The customer is requested to return, with a complete return address,
  23.   the PROOF OF LICENSE (ORIGINAL COPY) for all TCP/IP 1.2 for OS/2
  24.   products to the IBM Fulfillment Center (address below).

  26. The remainder of the kit(s) should be disposed of in an environmentally
  27. responsible manner and NOT returned to the IBM FULFILLMENT center.
  28. There is a new PROOF OF LICENSE and Statement of Service included in the
  29. REFRESH KITS. Customers who return their PROOF OF LICENSE (ORIGINAL) by
  30. overnight air will have their REFRESH KITS shipped overnight air.
  31. If the PACKAGE has not been opened, it should be opened and
  32. ONLY the PROOF OF LICENSE returned to the following address:

  48. refresh release.

  50. TCP/IP 1.2  ADDITIONAL LICENSES and SPECIAL BIDS

  52. These do not need to be reprocessed. Whatever quantity of copies
  53. previously allowed are still valid and carry over to TCP/IP 1.2.1.

  55. TCP/IP 1.2  PRODUCT RETURNS

  57. TCP/IP 1.2 is eligible for return under IBM's 30 day return policy. All
  58. returns for refund or credit are to be returned through
  59. the normal DISTRIBUTION channel. The customer may return the PROOF
  60. OF LICENSE and copy of the invoice and not return the entire package.
